Grandkids is the
place for a truly unique gift - a custom made wooden jigsaw puzzle for children of all ages.
Your puzzle
will showcase your favorite photograph, making it a treasured gift.
Unlike cardboard puzzles that are stamped out,
we cut each piece by hand. No two pieces
are ever exactly alike.
The spaces
between pieces are so small they don't detract from the picture, they add
interest. A Grandkids puzzle displayed on a stand is a one-of-a-kind
conversation piece.
We specialize in
inlaid puzzles like the one you see to the right. Click on the image to

This puzzle is made
with a "continuous knob" cutting style. The continuous knob style gives us
an opportunity to cut around the faces in photographs, and makes
beautifully shaped pieces.

Your gift
will be treasured for years. We
use top grade puzzle wood, non-acidic
glue, archival glossy
photo paper and ink, and of course all non-toxic materials.
Our puzzles are designed to withstand handling, and
can be solved over and over again.
A wooden tray is included with all
rectangular puzzles.
Be traditional and give unassembled; let your friends
or loved ones discover the image as they fit the pieces together. Solving a
puzzle is a wonderful shared experience for a family or group.

Kids and their families will love your
gift.
To quote a grandmother from Albuquerque,
NM who bought 4
puzzles as gifts for kids from 3 to 30, “The
puzzles were here when I arrived home today, and they are truly lovely. I
marveled at them several times as I have them laid out on my desk.”
From another customer: "Lou's
puzzles are great. Gave one to a 3 year old today as a birthday present.
(She) and her mom loved it; she put it together with less assistance
the second time and was quite proud of her accomplishment."
This puzzle uses a grid cut; the common
style used for "cookie cutter" cardboard puzzles, dressed up with hearts for
knobs. |

From Barrow Alaska: "The puzzles are a wonderful
addition to our educational program. We wanted to use culturally
relevant curriculum materials in our program by using local animals,
scenes and faces. These wooden puzzles are a wonderful way of
incorporating our life and culture into the classroom. Thank
you!"

From Carlsbad, CA: " Our puzzles were given as a gift to our
three children. My son was just about 3 1/2 & received the 6 piece,
shortly after mastering that one, he moved on to the 20 piece. It is
so cute to see him fit the pieces together while naming his sister &
brothers features as he is doing it. - " Oh mom, this is Kate's foot,
this is Carson's hand, etc." After becoming more confident with the 20
piece he has since been able to work on 100 piece puzzles with little
or no help from me. I really feel like the grandkids puzzles gave him
the confidence to try a new task and not feel frustrated by the
experience. He loves the familiar photograph and he still enjoys
putting it together. He has even brought it to preschool to share his
wonderful treasure! Thank you Lou for this awesome idea & beautiful
craftsmanship!"
