Choices |
|
Size |
Minimum is
3 x 5 inches, maximum 16 x 22 inches. |
|
Number of
pieces |
Minimum is 6
- maximum is about
3 per
square inch. |
|
Knobs (the part that sticks out of a
puzzle piece - goes into a socket on another piece to interlock them) |
Hearts, round, none
(won't interlock and requires a special frame),
creative
(rabbit heads,
crowns, etc. requires larger pieces) |
|
Cutting style |
Strip cut, random heart, random
knob, continuous heart, continuous knob. |
|
Puzzle edge |
Rectangular straight line,
pattern,
oval,
round,
irregular
(could follow an image
within the picture). A display tray is NOT included if you choose a
non-rectangular edge, but we can make you one for an additional charge. |
|
Inlaid display tray
Puzzles with non-rectangular edges can be inset so they fit flush with the
top of a custom made tray.

|
|
Color line cutting |
Creates pieces that look like edge
pieces, but aren't. Requires at least one straight line in the picture.
Makes it harder to assemble. Note that these pieces do not interlock. |
|
Difficult |
Cutting to make it hard to solve -
uses random cutting style, irregular edges, color line cutting, even
duplicate pieces. |
|
Additional
photo editing |
Processing beyond a "reasonable"
amount will be charged based on time. |
|
Scanning more
than 1 photo or photos larger than 8.5x11 |
$2.00 per photo (beyond
1) if 8.5x11 or smaller. |
Choosing the number of pieces in a puzzle can
be confusing. If you don't care about how hard it is to solve the puzzle, a 20 piece 8x10 is a
good way to showcase your photo. For a given size, more pieces make it harder to
solve.
See the
pricing page for our
suggested guidelines for the number of pieces based on a child's age.
Individual children may prefer more or fewer pieces.
